How To Be Sick, How To Be Well

Buddhism teaches that truly seeing that everything changes can bring us happiness.  Host Marlena Willis, talks with Toni Bernhard, who had her life dramatically change when she got sick and never got better.  She used Buddhist practices to work with the difficulty of this and then went on to share with others about how to do this in the books she wrote.

Toni Bernhard is the author of the award-winning  How to Be Sick: A Buddhist-Inspired Guide for the Chronically Ill and their Caregivers, now in a revised and updated edition (2018). She is also the author of How to Wake Up: A Buddhist-Inspired Guide to Navigating Joy and Sorrow and How to Live Well with Chronic Pain and Illness: A Mindful Guide.
