Liesl Tommy, Tony-nominated director of ECLIPSED, discusses her career and the show, which made history as the first Broadway show with an all-Black and all-female cast and creative team. ECLIPSED, the story of five women during the Liberian civil war, is playing at the Curran Theater in San Francisco through March 19.

I will interview acclaimed writer, poet and activist Aya de Leon at Women’s International League for Peace & Freedom’s inaugural Peace Talk next Sunday, March 19. Tune in tomorrow for a little preview of that conversation.

The feminist singing duo Emma’s Revolution, known for their harmonies and brilliant political songwriting, celebrates the release of their fourth CD this Tuesday, March 14 at the Freight & Salvage. Half of the duo, Sandy O, tells us about some of her favorite artists and what it’s like to travel and make music with your ex.
