We spend the hour with Nina Serrano, prize-winning poet, activist, filmmaker, playwright, and radio host.  Besides producing programs on politics and culture for KPFA over the last four decades, Nina is cofounder of the Mission Cultural Center and former director of San Francisco Poetry in the Schools.  She was the first foreign woman to travel with Fidel Castro and the Cuban army, directed the film Que Hacer in Santiago de Chile during the election which brought Salvador Allende to power, and after the coup in Chile, staffed the San Francisco Free Chile Center.  Nina also talks about feminism, writing and the joy of being a great-grandmother.
