Women’s History Month Special

Source: Wikimedia Commons

On the heels of Black History or African-American History Month, following two weeks of Women’s History Month Celebration, and on the toes of Jazz Appreciation Month as well as International Poetry Month, KPFA presents an hour of interview, music and poetry. We share a panel discussion on Gendre and Jazz, recorded January 2018 in New York. We also present prolific Jazz, as well as poetry from the late Audre Lorde. Additionally, there will be ticket offerings for Yoshi’s Night Spot (Rachelle Farelle and Girl 6 Housequake Prince tribute show). We feature highlights from the upcoming Oakland International Film Festival, with ticket offerings.

Produced and hosted by Safi wa Nairobi. Tune in!
