Russian Protests and Brexit

On today’s show Salima Hamirani talks to David Kotz, Economics Professor at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and author of several books on Russia, about protest in Russia. Indeed, protests have erupted across Russia in over one hundred locations, calling out corruption in the government. They’ve taken Putin and the government by surprise.

Then, she talks to Richard Wolff: Therera May, the new British Prime Minister triggered article 50 which sets the UK on an irreversible, 2 year course to independence from the European Union. Richard Wolff, host of Economic Update explains what the European Union is, why Brexit is so important, and what we have to keep in mind about the immigration debate that led to Brexit.
