Palestinians decry Trump’s “peace plan” before its release; Immigrant rights advocates fight to reverse wrongful deportation of a gay SF asylum seeker

0:08 – President Trump is set to unveil his so-called “peace” plan for the Middle East, which was created without any input whatsoever from Palestinians. Thousands have taken to the streets of Gaza ahead of the announcement. For more we speak to Khury Petersen-Smith of the Institute for Policy Studies. 0:34 – Immigrant rights activists say ICE wrongfully deported gay asylum-seeker Oumar Yaide to Chad in 2019. A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to return him to the United States. Pangea Legal Services is representing Yaide in court, and has organized rallies and a petition to put pressure on lawmakers to force the Trump administration to comply with the judge’s orders. They are asking supporters to appear at the February 4 SF Board of Supervisors meeting to pass a resolution to #BringOumarHome.
