In this episode we hear an interview with Sarah Jaffe, author of Necessary Trouble: Americans in Revolt, about the various contemporary social movements in the US, from Black Lives Matter to Occupy.

Then, we hear an interview with Ibram X. Kendi, author of the book Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America. The book won the 2016 National Book Award for Nonfiction.
