California Attorney General Xavier Becerra goes to court to preserve the cost sharing subsidies that allow moderate income people to afford their health premiums less than a week after President Trump announced he would end them. A pretrial hearing today on the case of Kayla Moore, who died in Berkeley police custody after a mental health call to authorities. Democratic State Senate leader Kevin de Leon formally announces his plan to challenge incumbent Senator Dianne Feinstein.
