A political firestorm at the Capitol in the wake of the firing of FBI Director James Comey. The Senate Intelligence Committee says it will call Comey to testify in a closed session next week. In a surprising win for environmentalists and Democrats and a blow to the fossil fuel industry, the Senate fails in a bid to reverse Obama Administration rules restricting harmful methane gas restrictions. Legislation to drop the voting age in California to 17 clears its first committee hurdle. South Korea’s new president says he would be willing to travel to North Korea to help reduce tensions on the Korean peninsula.
