President Donald Trump orders the first ever direct U.S. military strike on the Syrian government overnight. The U.N. Security Council debates the strike. California lawmakers have approved Governor Jerry Brown’s plan to raise gas and vehicle taxes to generate $5 billion a year to repair the state’s crumbling roads, highways and bridges and to fund public transit.¬†Anti police brutality activists and family members remember Luis G√≥ngora Pat on the one year anniversary of his killing by San Francisco police officers.
