North Korea’s vice foreign minister warns that his country is ready to launch a pre-emptive strike if the U.S. shows any sign of military aggression. The top U.S. military official in Afghanistan says the attack on a tunnel complex in remote eastern Afghanistan with the largest non-nuclear weapon ever used in combat by the U.S. military was a tactical decision. San Francisco and Santa Clara County ask a federal judge  to block Donald Trump’s executive order cutting off federal grants from sanctuary localities.  Authorities arrest peaceful protesters at the annual Good Friday gathering outside the Lawrence Livermore National Lab opposing nuclear weapons design and development. Anti police brutality activists gather at the San Francisco Hall of Justice to protest the district attorney’s decision not to charge the two officers who fatally shot young Guatemalan immigrant Amilcar Perez-Lopez two years ago.
