Today’s organizing in the Mad Community has a long and turbulent back story.   Historian Michael Rembis joins us again, this time to relay the remarkable work of mad activists in the 20th Century.

The 20th century was a time of change and increased visibility for people living with
emotional and mental disabilities.  We’ll trace remarkable gains  — and highlight
continued inequities.
