We are joined by Aaron Maté, he is one of the most prominent journalists that have been pushing back against the notion and allegation about the Trump campaign conspiring and interfering with Russia in the U.S. 2016 election. Maté explains why he was skeptical from the beginning of the idea of the Trump-Russia conspiracy. He critics the “media fixation” that covered the “Russiagate” issue the way it did, which in the end, he says, had negative consequences for the media itself because it has lost credibility and for the country at large distracting citizens from the most important issues.
