Ehrman, renowned religious scholar and author of the book The Triumph of Christianity: How a Forbidden Religion Swept the World, about the spread of Christianity throughout the Western world. He relates the history of how the Roman Empire went from being a polytheistic pagan society, that now and then persecuted Christians, to a Christian society that persecuted non-Christians.
