Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice Hearing

Special Live Gavel-to-Gavel Broadcast of the "Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice" Hearing on Thursday, January 18, 2007

The Senate Judiciary Committee will hear from Attorney General Alberto Gonzales in its first major hearing since Democrats took control of the Senate in November. Expected issues to be discussed are the Bush’s administration continuing use of warrantless electronic surveillance; the suspension of habeas corpus under the Military Commissions Act; the use of stress and torture in interrogations; and the newly revealed extension of domestic spying by the CIA and military.

KPFA is broadcasting live, gavel-to-gavel coverage of the "Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice" hearing on Capitol Hill. Join Larry Bensky and our guest experts for their analysis on these issues, starting early Thursday morning at 6:00AM PST and going as late as it takes.
