Bonnie Simmons and Derk Richardson co-host the first hour of The Hear and Now, playing (mostly) songs about sleeping and waking up. In the second hour: The Beatles, the Band, Nina Simone, Arlo Guthrie, Laurie Anderson, Gamelan Cudamani, Roy Wood, Cream, Actual Trio, and Tania Chen playing John Cage’s Electronic Music for Piano. 


Guitarist John Schott, bassist Dan Seamans, and drummer John Hanes are the Actual Trio, and they’ll be celebrating the release of their second CD, Act II, with a concert at the Back Room in Berkeley on Friday, February 23.
