The East Bay indie rock band Felsen is celebrating the release of its fifth album, Blood Orange Moon, with a show at the Brick & Mortar Music Hall in San Francisco on Friday, February 2, at 9 p.m. KPFA listeners get a sneak preview with a live in-studio concert on “The Hear and Now,” hosted by Derk Richardson and engineered by Tony Ferro, assisted by Joel Sachs. Led by Alamedan Andrew Griffin on vocals and guitar, Felsen includes Dara Ackerman (backing vocals and glockenspiel), Roger Rocha (guitar), Bryan Bixby Dean (bass), Joanne de Mars (cello), and Robert “Titio” Tucker (drums).

In the second hour: a few classic oldies and new music by Amy Denio, ROVA Saxophone Quartet, and Henry Kaiser.
