On today’s show hosts Cat Brooks and Mitch Jeserich talk with Steve Phillips about Georgia’s Special Election. Steve Phillips, is the founder of Democracy in Color, an organization focused on race, politics and the New American Majority. Phillips is a civil rights lawyer and senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. 

Democracy in Color released its Mid-Year Progress Report Warning Democrats to Avoid Another “Billion-Dollar Blunder”.

Then, Up Front intern, Jessica Martinez, interviews Peter Moskowitz on Housing Policies and Gentrification to examine the housing policies and gentrification in some cities around the country, including SF. Peter Moskowitz is a journalist and writer, he is the author of the book How to Kill a City; Gentrification, Inequality, and the Fight for the Neighborhood.
