SF: Tech money floods local elections

Bruce DixonGoogle, Facebook, and AirBNB are all ploughing money into San Francisco City politics — we’ll talk to Tim Redmond about where that money’s going, and what they want for it. But first: We brought you the case for Hillary Clinton (from Tom Hayden), and for Bernie Sanders (from Norman Solomon). Today Bruce Dixon joins to make the case for progressives to dump Democratic party politics altogether.

Guests:

  • Bruce Dixon is Managing Editor of the Black Agenda Report. Full disclosure: he is also an activist with the Georgia Green Party and the Jill Stein for President Campaign.
  • Tim Redmond is editor and publisher of 48hills.org, Tim Redmonda blog about San Francisco; also in charge of what’s left of the San Francisco Bay Guardian (you can read their election endorsements here). He’s also co-host with Tom Ammiano of the Tom and Tim Show podcast.
