SF Mayoral Race, Salvadorian Temporary Protected Status, and Oakland Whole Foods Incident

Tim Redmond, publisher of 48hills.org tells us about whats what in the upcoming San Francisco mayoral race, who is running and on what platform. In a particularly violent move, Salvadorans in America lose their Temporary Protected Status, throwing countless Salvadorian residents into uncertainty. Yanira Arias is National Campaigns Manager for Alianza Americas and is a Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holder from El Salvador. She joins us to talk about her work and her experience. The Whole Foods by Lake Merrit in Oakland, 230 Bay Place, has been the center of several different racist incidents. Marlena Henderson, the mother of a teenage son who says he was racially profiled at the Oakland Whole Foods while shopping for her Christmas gift, joins us to recall the incident. We hear from Adante Pointer, an attorney at the law offices of John Burris who represented a man who was beaten by a Whole Foods security guard in 2015.
