The Whole Foods by Lake Merrit in Oakland, 230 Bay Place, has been the center of several different racist incidents. Marlena Henderson, the mother of a teenage son who says he was racially profiled at the Oakland Whole Foods while shopping for her Christmas gift, joins us to recall the incident. We hear from Adante Pointer, an attorney at the law offices of John Burris who represented a man who was beaten by a Whole Foods security guard in 2015.
