Al-Nakba and The Occupation of the American Mind

To start off today’s show, Cat Brooks and Brian Edwards-Tiekert discuss President Trump’s decision to formally recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, prompting Palestinians to take to the streets in protests.

In our second hour, we focus on the roots of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the lens of the documentary Al-Nakba, which traces the historical events leading up to the creation of the state of Israel.

But first, we hear excerpts from the documentary The Occupation of the American Mind: Israel’s Public Relations War in the United States, narrated by former Pink Floyd front man Roger Waters.
