What’s in the New Native American Voting Rights Act? We speak with OJ Semans; Plus, Larry Hildes discusses Leonard Peltier as part of Black August Commemoration

0:08 –  OJ Semans (@ojsemans), Co-Executive Director of Four Directions vote, and enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, discusses the Native American Voting Rights Act, which was introduced in Congress earlier this month. The legislation is designed to protect the right to vote and ensure equal access to the electoral process for Native Americans, Alaskan Natives, and voters living on tribal lands.

0:33 – Larry Hildes is a Civil Rights Lawyer with the National Guild and Lead Counsel for Leonard Peltier. As part of Black August, an annual commemoration and prison-based holiday to remember Black freedom fights and political prisoners, Hildes discusses political prisoner Leonard Peltier.
