We’ll begin our show today with a look at Iran. After nearly a week of mass protests the government has declared the unrest over. My guest Ahmad Sadri, a professor at Lake Forest College will explain what sparked the protests, how the US is involved, and what’s next for the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people. Then, we’ll turn to Pacifica Radio Network’s interim Executive Director Bill Crosier for a look at why the oldest public radio network in the nation is on the brink of financial disaster. Finally, famed author and activist Frances Moore Lappé will join us to discuss her newest book, co-authored with Adam Eichen called Daring Democracy: Igniting Power, Meaning, and Connection for the America We Want.
