UN: INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES RISING
Produced By: Catherine Jackson, Morning Star Gali & Sabah Williams
“The upcoming 25th session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues will take place April 20th through May 1st, 2026. We were fortunate to interview two women who have both been involved with representing Indigenous Peoples at the United Nations for over ten years each. From the North we interviewed Rochelle Diver, Anishinaabe, and from the South, we interviewed Rosalee Gonzalez, Chicana and Kickapoo.
We hope that you enjoy listening to their powerful statements as much as we did. We are so grateful that they both took the time to share what matters to them and their communities because what happens to the Earth impacts all of our lives.”
