KPFA marks International Women’s Day with a 24-hour special beginning Sunday, March 8 and continuing through Monday, March 9, centering the voices, stories, and resistance of women across the globe.
From Indigenous land defenders and reproductive justice organizers to formerly incarcerated women, artists, historians, and anti-militarists, this year’s programming highlights movements confronting violence, inequality, and erasure while imagining bold new futures rooted in justice and care.
Through music, storytelling, archival reflections, and live public affairs, we explore abolition, environmental justice, global solidarity, mental health, cultural resistance, and the ongoing fight for bodily autonomy and collective liberation.
At a moment of rising repression and deepening global conflict, KPFA brings together women and gender expansive producers from our community to amplify voices that refuse silence.
Join us for this powerful International Women’s Day broadcast.
