Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf is back on the hot seat, today facing sharp questions from lawmakers at a House committee hearing over the bank’s sales scandal. A new study warns that global warming is on track to breach the threshold of  a 2 degrees Celsius or 3.6 degrees fahrenheit rise over pre-industrial levels by 2050.  That’s  unless governments at least double their efforts to limit greenhouse gas emissions. A crowded commuter train plows into a platform at the New Jersey Hoboken  station during the morning rush hour . At least one person is dead and dozens injured, some critically. California Governor Jerry Brown signs the  TRUTH Act aimed at advancing the legal rights of undocumented immigrants, but he vetoes a measure that would have barred local governments from turning immigrants over to private, profit-making prisons for detention.
