The National Education Association says that Betsy Devos  has  consistently pushed a corporate agenda to privatize, de-professionalize and impose cookie-cutter solutions to public education. Trump names South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to serve as U.N. Ambassador. Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein launches a $2.5 million dollar effort to fund a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania after computer experts say the votes there may have been hacked. The North Dakota Governor and Congressional delegation urge President Obama to step in to allow completion of the Dakota Access Pipeline.  San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi tells  Japantown gathering “we are all public defenders now” in the face of threats posed by the incoming Trump Administration.
