Republican Senate leaders agree to allow a vote on Democratic gun safety measures after Connecticut’s Chris Murphy stages a 15 hour talkathon ending at 2 a.m.  California lawmakers approve a budget with more funding for childcare, state universities and jail construction – as well as an extra two billion dollar in a rainy day reserve. San Francisco Supervisor John Avalos proposes holding back $200 million in police spending until the SFPD comes up with use of force reforms. Donald Trump tells Republican leaders to “just be quiet.”
