Five Dallas police officers are dead following an attack by a sniper at the end of a peaceful protest over this week’s fatal police shootings of two African-American men.  The suspect is killed by police and identified as an army reservist who served in Afghanistan,  said he was upset over recent police killings and wanted to kill white police officers.  In Oakland, a protest shuts down Interstate 880 for hours.  A San Francisco school district special education aide and her daughter face eviction from their Mission District home after her new landlord, a tech worker, says she caused a “nuisance” by using appliances in her in-law unit.
