A draft memo obtained by the Associated Press indicates the Trump administration was considering a proposal to mobilize as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up undocumented immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security says the idea was never seriously considered. The Senate votes to confirm Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency, which he repeatedly sued as Oklahoma Attorney General. The state water agency that operates the Oroville Dam told federal officials in 2011 that communities immediately downstream would not receive adequate warning or time for evacuations if the 770-foot-tall dam itself — rather than its spillways — were to abruptly fail.
