North Carolina lawmakers stage a day of rancorous debate — and then fail to repeal the anti-LGBTQ bathroom  law HB2.  German police commandos raid two apartments in Berlin as they press their search for a Tunisian man suspected of carrying out Monday’s deadly truck attack on a Christmas market. More than ten thousand people sign a petition asking  San Francisco and Oakland for a moratorium on fire inspections that are leading to the eviction of warehouse artist spaces. In Richmond, evicted residents and supporters of the Burnt Ramen warehouse protest the city’s very public shutdown of their venue in the wake of Oakland’s ghost ship warehouse fire.
