Bernie Sanders calls the arrangement corporate welfare and says we need a president who can stand up to big corporations, not fold to their demands.  California Governor Jerry Brown picks Los Angeles Congressman Xavier Becerra to be the state’s first Attorney General, after Kamala Harris is elected to the U.S. Senate. A somber ceremony in San Francisco marks World Aids Day.  A state licensing board wants to yank the contractor’s license from Segue, the company responsible for last year’s Berkeley balcony collapse that killed six young people, most of them Irish students, and severely injured seven others.
