Republican  nominee Donald Trump shakes up management of his troubled presidential campaign for the second time in two months. He installs right-wing Breitbart website official Stephen Bannon campaign chief, elbowing aside Paul Manafort, who had been brought in to run a more conventional Republican campaign.  Hillary Clinton names her presidential transition team. It’s led by former Interior Secretary and Colorado Senator Ken Salazar, a proponent of fracking, the Kyestone XL Pipeline and the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal.  The Blue Cut fire northeast of Los Angeles becomes a raging inferno in a few short hours, forcing the evacuation of tens of thousands of people and destroying a yet-to-be counted number of homes, businesses and other structures.  The shuttered Marcus Books in San Francisco gets set to reopen in the African American Arts and Culture Complex.
