If you love the voices of Lucinda Williams and Frazey Ford (Be Good Tanyas), then you’re going to (or already do) really love the voice, and the songwriting, of Anna Ash. Her new album, “Floodlights,” isn’t due out until September, but she’s up from L.A. for a gig at Amnesia in San Francisco on July 1, and she stops in at KPFA for an in-studio interview with host Derk Richardson and of course she’ll sing several songs.
But that’s not all tonight! Wes “Scoop” Nisker will kick off the show with a new song, “Be Here Now” (or “The Ram Dass Waltz”), and perhaps a reading from his new compilation, “YOU ARE NOT YOUR FAULT and OTHER REVELATIONS. The Collected Wit and Wisdom of Wes `Scoop’ Nisker.” Tune in for a really big show.
