Hear and Now host Derk Richardson talks with pianist Sarah Cahill and Lucy Mattingly, both on the board of directors of New Music Bay Area, which presents the annual summer solstice walk-through concert, the Garden of Memory, at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland. The organizers will explain the history and logistics of what is often the premier new music event of the year–and present samples of music from some this year’s many performers. The Garden of Memory takes place Wednesday, June 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
