Celebrating the April 7th release of his new CD, Shadowbox, composer Rob Reich performs live with his quintet on “The Hear and Now.” The chamber-jazz band includes Rob Reich, accordion and piano; Ben Goldberg, clarinets; Ila Cantor, guitar; John Wiitala, bass; and Eric Garland, drums. As Carla Kihlstedt–Reich’s band mate in Tin Hat–says, “His music wears a bowler hat and a pair of Chuck Taylors.”
The Rob Reich Quintet will perform its Shadowbox CD release concert Saturday, April 11, at the Red Poppy Art House in San Francisco.
