How can an art residency become a space for survival, resistance and the rebuilding of self? In this intimate documentary, we follow three young women – Fayza Al Afifi, Anna Kovalenko and Asita Ferdous – as they spend a month together at La Maison des Artistes en Exil on France’s west coast. Having fled war, occupation and repression in Palestine, Ukraine and Afghanistan, they turn to art to reclaim agency, voice and imagination, and to shape what comes next.
