Across the world, more and more youth are taking to build more sustainable communities. On this show, hosted by Earth Island Journal editor Maureen Nandini Mitra, we hear from two such young people, who recently received the 2021 Brower Youth Awards for their work — Peter Pham, who organizes for Turnout4Transit, a coalition of environmental advocacy groups, labor unions, and social justice organizations, and Alexia Leclercq, co-founder of Start:Empowerment (S:E), an environmental justice nonprofit focused on bridging the gap between education and action.
