Sunday Show – September 22, 2019

As global leaders converge at United Nations for a climate change summit in New York, we look at California’s climate policy and the fossil fuel boon underway in the state, with Alexandra Nagy, California State Director of Food and Water Watch.  She’s an editor of a new report “California Leads: How to Break Fossil Fuel Dependence in the Golden State,” which details the 2,383 drilling permits issued in California, this year alone and makes recommendations to transition California off oil and gas extraction.

Keep Space for Peace Week is a week long international effort to bring attention to the militarization of space October 5-12, 2019.  We speak with Bruce Gagnon, coordinator and co-founder of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space about the movement and President Donald Trump’s envisioned space force–tho it’s actually a long planned 6th branch of the military.
