Great show! I have a lot of respect for Bob Scheer, but I don’t agree with his argument regarding this election. I especially don’t agree with the idea of supporting Jill Stein for president in the current election, even though many people, including myself, agree with her ideas. I think that the idea of voting for a third party candidate as being “courageous”, as one of your callers described, is the consequence of being stuck in a privileged mindset. Jill Stein does not have a viable candidacy, (nor does Gary Johnson), and to my knowledge, she has never won an election. As for the Green Party, I have been a member for many years, but as far as I know, the highest elected office any Green candidate has achieved in mayor of Richmond, CA. So, let’s build the party, and work our way up to president. Also, I’d love for there to be more diversity on your show, of race, class, age, and gender. That might generate a higher diversity of opinion and listenership. Thanks!
