San Francisco Politics After Ed Lee and Regional Resegregation

After the death of Ed Lee, the politics of San Francisco are up in the air. UpFront speaks with Randy Shaw and John Avalos about what is coming up. Randy is the Executive Director of the Tenderloin Housing Clinic and Editor of Beyond Chron. He drafted key San Francisco housing-related laws and ballot initiatives. John Avalos is the former San Francisco District 11 Supervisor and currently an Education and Training Coordinator at the National Union of Healthcare Workers. Tony Samara discusses the shifting demographics in urban and suburban areas, the racial politics of these shifts and the re-urbanization of the elite in the U.S.
