Susan Faludi and her father sound like people in serious need of deep and sustained psychotherapy with a really good psychotherapist. These are people who seem to have time and money to waste, and they are being allowed to waste public airwaves. There are so many issues, deeply serious issues, that need addressing in the world (no sane person attempts to lump war and refugees into the category of her father’s personal problems as Faludi does) none of which can or should be reduced to people’s (celebrated or celebrity-styled) mental illnesses. Let them deal with their personal problems in their own darkened rooms.
