New Evidence of Scorched Earth Campaign Against Rohingya

The world is all but ignoring the massive refugee crisis of Rohingya in Myanmar. Today, we’ll speak with Tirana Hassan of Amnesty International about new evidence of a scorched earth policy by Myanmar forces against the fleeing refugees. Then, we’ll take a look at a recent push by ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, which has had many accusations of serious abuses against over the years. My guest John Washington will explain how ICE is now trying to erase its records, even as it has stepped up enforcement under the Trump Administration. Finally, author and historian Betsy Hartmann joins us to discuss her new book, which is so relevant in these times. It’s called The America Syndrome: Apocalypse, War, and Our Call To Greatness. We’ll hear part 2 of my two-part conversation.
