Donald Trump pulls off a stunning upset ending a long and contentious election race, upending polls, and liberal expectations. With the GOP in control of the House, Senate, and Presidency, we’ll spend the hour today starting first with how it could have happened. Author and academic Janine Wedel will join us. Her book is called Unaccountable: How the Establishment Corrupted Our Finances, Freedom, and Politics and Created an Outsider Class. Then, we’ll turn to veteran journalist Larry Bensky to discuss what we can expect under a Trump presidency politically. Trump has promised the sun, moon, and stars to his voters. What will his actual domestic and foreign policy look like? And finally, a Trump win is a huge blow to every minority community that Trump attacked: Mexicans, immigrants, Muslims, women, and more. Our correspondent Courtney Morris will examine the possible social impact of the next four years.
