In Historic Vote Ireland Chooses Women’s Rights

Voters in Ireland went to the polls just days ago and overwhelmingly affirmed women’s reproductive choice. My guest Sarah Jaffe traveled to Ireland to cover the historic vote to repeal the country’s 8th Amendment. She’ll explain what happened and what’s next. Then, we’ll cover another election – in Venezuela. Nicholas Maduro recently won reelection as President amid Western media’s insistence that the vote was fraudulent. My guest Kevin Zeese who was present for the election will explain why the allegations are baseless and what Maduro’s very real economic challenges are going forward. Finally, Michael Idov, award-winning journalist and author joins us to discuss his memoir based on three years in Russia called Dressed Up for a Riot: Misadventures in Putin’s Moscow.

Hosted by Sonali Kolhatkar.
