The National Nurses United are pushing hard for the leadership of Congressman Keith Ellison to lead the Democratic Party. But Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, is facing charges of antisemitism. We’ll turn to NNU’s Chuck Idelson to discuss why Ellison’s leadership is exactly what the Democratic Party needs. Plus, two cases on racial gerrymandering have made their way to the US Supreme Court. Ezra Rosenberg of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law will join us to explain their significance especially for future redistricting efforts. And, we’ll speak with Lisa McGirr about her book, The War on Alcohol: Prohibition and the Rise of the American State.
