Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke has issued his report on national monument designations as per Donald Trump’s request. On today’s show we’ll turn to Cassady Craighill of Greenpeace for an assessment of the report and the work that remains to be done. Then, Zaid Jilani of The Intercept will join us to cover the bizarre attempts in some states to reduce penalties for drivers that plow into protesters. It appears to be part of the on-going right wing assault on free speech. Finally, we’ll examine the opioid crisis in the US – a crisis that has eclipsed gun violence and car accidents with respect to the number of deaths. German Lopez, senior writer for Vox recently covered the story and will join us. Hosted by Sonali Kolhatkar.
