California’s Bay area braces for two right wing extremist rallies in San Francisco and Berkeley this weekend. On today’s show we’ll speak with Luma Nichol, an organizer who is involved in counter protests. Then, Steve Horn of DeSmogBlog joins us to discuss the massive $300 million racketeering lawsuit filed by Energy Transfer Partners against Greenpeace and other groups over the Standing Rock actions last year. Energy Transfer has retained the same attorney working for President Donald Trump. Then, Alexis Estevez, an editor with Brave New Films will discuss the case of Pastor Noe, an undocumented Christian Pastor in Los Angeles who has been held in detention for the past month. Brave New Films has created a new short film to highlight the pastor’s case which we’ll also play during the show. Hosted by Sonali Kolhatkar.
