On todays show, we examine the EPA and climate denialism. First, Scott Pruitt, former head of the Environmental Protection Agency, is clouded by unprecedented scandal and allegations of corruption. Mary Anne Hitt from the Sierra Club will join us to discuss Pruitt’s disastrous legacy at the EPA in terms of the gutting of public safety standards. We’ll also discuss the background of Pruitt’s replacement, Andrew Wheeler, a Washington insider and former coal lobbyist. Then, Lukas Ross of Friends of the Earth will going into greater detail about Wheeler ahead of his confirmation as EPA head. Finally, Dr. Peter Carter joins us from Canada to discuss the book he has co-authored with Elizabeth Woodworth called Unprecedented Crime: Climate Science Denial and Game Changers for Survival. Carter will make the legal case for why climate denialism and the on-going fueling of the climate crisis is a crime against humanity. Stay tuned.
