Monday’s May Day protests and strikes in cities around the country could be the largest in the nation as activists gear up to send a strong message to Donald Trump about immigrant rights and workers rights. On today’s show we’ll go to Seattle, Washington to speak with city council member Kshama Sawant, who has been a bold spokesperson on May Day actions. And, Laura Carlsen with the Center for International Policy has spent several weeks traveling with the ‘Caravan Against Fear,’ to border-area cities. Carlsen will join us from the road to share her experiences and how the caravan has it’s own final May Day action. And, we’ll end the show with author Marissa Landrigan who has written a new book about her coming of age as a vegetarian in her search for ethical eating. Her book is called The Vegetarian’s Guide to Eating Meat.
